HI! I’M KATIE

Katie Broach is a musical theatre singer and non-equity actor hailing from MetroWest Boston who is equally comfortable in dramatic and comedic stage character roles.

Katie has received wide audience praise for her performances, ranging from her portrayal of the nurturing Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music to the quirky Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls.

Originally from Chicago, the theatre “bug” bit Katie at an early age. Photo courtesy of Mom.

She currently studies voice at New England Conservatory with Dr. Jennifer Sgroe and Alexander Technique with Clara Sandler.

Katie has also worked behind the scenes serving as a children’s theatre director, stage manager, and props master of local community theatres. She was nominated for a 2023 DASH award for her prop work by the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres.

By background, Katie stepped away from her career as a professional fundraiser to spend more time with her family and perform but enjoys volunteering her fund-development skills with theatre companies and other area non-profits.

Katie currently serves as a cantor at St. Matthias Parish in Marlborough, Massachusetts and is available to book for weddings, funerals and civic events.
